Reach Joshimath and relax before beginning the trek. Explore the beautiful Himalayan town and prepare for the upcoming trekking days.

Govindghat

Travel through Govindghat, the gateway towards Ghangaria and the Valley of Flowers.

Pulna Village

Drive from Govindghat to Pulna Village, the starting point of the trek towards Ghangaria.

Ghangaria

Trek alongside the Pushpavati River towards Ghangaria, the base for both Valley of Flowers and Hemkund Sahib. Spend three nights here during the trek.

Valley of Flowers National Park

Trek from Ghangaria into the Valley of Flowers National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colourful alpine flowers surrounded by dramatic Himalayan peaks.

Depending on the natural flowering cycle, you may see flowers such as Blue Poppy, Himalayan Rose and Brahmakamal.

Hemkund Sahib

Trek towards Hemkund Sahib, one of the most revered Sikh pilgrimage sites, situated at approximately 14,100 feet.

Visit the Gurudwara and the sacred Hemkund Sarovar surrounded by the Saptrishi peaks.

Laxman Temple

Visit the Laxman Temple located beside Hemkund Sahib and seek blessings before returning towards Ghangaria.

Bhyundar Valley

Experience the beautiful Bhyundar Valley while trekking towards Ghangaria, with waterfalls, lush green mountains and the Pushpavati River accompanying the trail.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Rishikesh to Joshimath / Govindghat

Assemble at the boarding point at Rishikesh ISBT Bus Stand.

Begin the scenic drive towards Joshimath / Govindghat.

En route, witness the four major river confluences:

  • Devprayag
  • Rudraprayag
  • Karnprayag
  • Nandprayag

Reach Joshimath / Govindghat and check into the hotel / guesthouse.

Freshen up and take some leisure time to explore the Himalayan surroundings.

Prepare your belongings for the next day's trek.

Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Joshimath / Govindghat.

Day 2 – Govindghat to Pulna & Trek to Ghangaria

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast.

Drive from Joshimath to Pulna Village via Govindghat.

Begin the approximately 9 km trek from Pulna to Ghangaria alongside the Pushpavati River.

En route, enjoy:

  • Bhyundar Valley
  • Waterfalls
  • Lush green mountains
  • Scenic Himalayan landscapes

Reach Ghangaria and check into the guesthouse.

Take some leisure time and attend the trek briefing for the next day's adventure.

Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 3 – Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers & Back

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast.

Begin the approximately 8 km trek from Ghangaria to Valley of Flowers and back.

Enter Valley of Flowers National Park and explore the spectacular alpine landscape.

Cross the Pushpavati River and pass by Laxman Waterfall.

Depending on the natural flowering cycle, enjoy views of:

  • Blue Poppy
  • Himalayan Rose
  • Brahmakamal
  • Other Himalayan wildflowers

If the weather is clear, you may also see Himalayan peaks such as:

  • Nilgiri Parvat
  • Rattaban
  • Gauri Parvat

Have lunch during the excursion before trekking back to Ghangaria.

Return to the guesthouse and relax.

Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 4 – Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib & Back

Wake up early and have breakfast.

Begin the approximately 12 km trek from Ghangaria to Hemkund Sahib and back.

Reach Hemkund Sahib, situated at approximately 14,100 feet.

Visit:

  • Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara
  • Hemkund Sarovar
  • Laxman Temple

Pay homage at the Gurudwara and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the sacred glacial lake.

During clear weather, admire reflections of the surrounding Saptrishi peaks in Hemkund Sarovar.

After lunch, trek back towards Ghangaria.

Return to the guesthouse and relax.

Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Ghangaria.

Day 5 – Ghangaria to Pulna & Joshimath / Govindghat

Wake up early in the morning and have breakfast.

Begin the approximately 9 km descent from Ghangaria to Pulna Village.

From Pulna, drive towards Joshimath / Govindghat.

Reach the hotel / guesthouse and check in.

Have lunch and take some leisure time to relax.

If time permits, explore:

  • Local Market
  • Narsingh Temple
  • Govindghat Gurudwara

Dinner will be served followed by an overnight stay in Joshimath / Govindghat.

Day 6 – Joshimath / Govindghat to Rishikesh | Trek Ends

Wake up early and have morning tea.

Check out from the property and begin the drive towards Rishikesh.

Reach Rishikesh by evening.

If time permits, explore the town, local markets or theme-based cafés.

The trip concludes after reaching Rishikesh.

A ₹2,500 per person advance payment is required to confirm your seat.

The remaining amount must be paid before boarding with RangRoute.

The itinerary may change depending on weather conditions, road conditions, snowfall, landslides, roadblocks, government restrictions and other unforeseen circumstances.

Travelers are requested to reach Rishikesh by 6:00 AM on the departure day.

The source recommends booking return journeys from Rishikesh after 8:00 PM. Exact trek boarding details are communicated before departure.

Prior trekking experience is not mandatory, but a basic level of fitness and stamina is recommended because the trek includes steep ascents and descents.

The flowering experience is naturally seasonal, so the availability of specific flowers depends on their natural lifecycle.

Terms & Conditions

Payment Policy: ₹2,500 per person must be paid at the time of booking confirmation. The remaining amount is payable before departure.

Verification Policy: Government-issued ID must be verified before boarding. No boarding will be entertained without a valid Government ID.

Conduct Policy: Misconduct or indiscipline will not be tolerated during the trip.

Banned Substances: Narcotics and banned substances are strictly prohibited during the tour. RangRoute and its organizers will not be responsible for any adverse consequences.

Natural Calamity Condition: RangRoute will not be responsible for delays, alterations or indirectly incurred expenses caused by natural hazards, accidents, vehicle breakdowns, weather conditions, landslides, political closures, roadblocks or other unforeseen incidents.

Departure Policy: Travelers must report at the pickup point 30 minutes before the scheduled departure. IDs will be verified before boarding.
